一、本册教材特点：
复习、前进
二、教材新增的内容：
1、阅读理解。每一个单元都有一篇与本单元话题相关的短文，并配以形式多样的阅读理解问题。
2、书写练习。每一个单元都增加了不同形式的书写练习，主要书写本单元的重点句。（每一单元的书写练习题头如下：Unit 1 Read and Write; Unit 2 Match and Write; Unit 3 Read, Trace and Write; Unit 4 Read and Write; Unit 5 Write the question; Unit 6 Read and Write.）
3、“Let’s find out!” 每一个单元(第三、六单元除外)都有此项目。它的形式类似“Survey”，在这一环节的练习中有对单词、句子的书写要求。
4、在大部分的“text”和“storytime”里增加了旁白部分。更加有助于学生理解连贯的故事内容。
5、本册教材把每单元后原有的“My notes”和“Teachers’ notes”变成了“Reflection”。在这一环节中也对学生提出了本单元重点单词和句型书写的要求。
三、每单元教材结构划分：
1、语篇：包括每单元中的“Text”、“Reading Comprehension”和“Storytime”。语篇部分的要求是听、说、读、理解并能够独立完成练习。
2、单词：是指每单元中的“Words to Learn”。单词部分的要求是听、说、读、写、理解。
3、句型：包括每单元中的“Talk Together”、“Uncle Booky’s Blackboard”和“Touch and Say”。其中“Talk Together”和“Uncle Booky’s Blackboard”部分的要求是听、说、读、写、理解。“Touch and Say” 部分的要求是听、说、读、替换、理解。
4、练习：分为听力练习和书面练习两种。其中听力练习包括每单元中的“Listen to this”和“Listen and Match”。书面练习包括每单元中的“Read and Write”、“Let’s Find out”、“Self-assessment”和“reflection”。教材中的两种练习分别就本单元的重点单词、重点句型提出了听和写的要求，要求学生能够独立完成。
5、语音：是指每单元中的“Sounds and Letters”。语音部分的要求是①、能够说出字母组合的发音。（本册中复现的字母组合有：“ee”、 “ea”、“oa”和“ue”。本册中新出现的字母组合有：“th”、“wh”、“ar”、“ear”、“ir”和“ur”）
②、能够区分个别字母组合的不同发音。（“th”）
③、对“Sounds and Letters”中出现的单词的要求是听、说、读、理解、辩。
6、教学活动：包括每单元中的“Let’s sing”和“Let’s Chant”。部分的要求是听、说、读、演、理解。

第七课时：书面练习：“Read and Write”、“Let’s Find out”、“Self-assessment”和“reflection”。
第八课时：（机动）小结本单元学习。
注意：每一单元的歌曲和童谣教学可在每一课时中相机进行。
五、各单元教材分析：
Unit 1 Mocky the juggler
话题：职业
1、本单元中复现的内容：
a. 在“Text”中：
①、“There be”结构（二年级下 Unit 9）
我们曾经学过：There’s a nest, too. / There’s a big crocodile.
此外在Unit 9中我们还用“There be”结构描述过数量。
②、“can”句型（一、二年级下 Unit11）
③、询问身体状况（三年级下 Unit 11）
本单元“Text”中出现了：How is he?
④、祈使句的否定形式（三年级上 Unit 1）
本单元中复现了：Don’t worry.
b. 在“Reading Comprehension”中：
⑤、家庭成员单词及介绍家庭成员的句型（二年级上 Unit 4）

d.教学注意事项：
①、单词教学中涉及到了单词派生：juggle-juggler和teach-teacher，还有dance-dancer。
②、“Storytime”中出现的“ice cream man”在单词教学中应涉及。此外，在新标准第二册第二模块中的“pupil”，第三模块中的“driver”和“clown”，新版第五册第九模块中的“train driver”、“bus driver”和“taxi driver”我们也应该教给学生。
③、“Text”里出现了句子：My friend is hurt. （我们可以做“被动语态”或“系表结构”理解）
④、Get help, Ken! Go, quickly! Call an ambulance, Ken.
一系列的祈使句要求学生知道意思。
